I didn't do it Momma!!

I could have never imagined all the things Zach would love getting into. He is the busiest little guy I've ever met, and I thought my nephew was busy; Zach puts him to shame. Let me just paint a picture for you of the things Zach enjoys taking out and throwing on the floor over and over and over again:
Pots and pans -Check
Dish towels, oven mitts and wash cloths-Check
Tupperware-Check
Books, books and more books-Check
DVD's-Check
Just recently he discovered how to open our bathroom cupboards, and yes, found mom's personal items. I say, "hey whatever keeps him happy!" And how can you say no to a face like that?!!

HERE GOES...
1. Reality TV... I love the Bachelor... Yes, I know, I know. But this season really got to me with the single dad, Jason. And if you watched last season you know why. And for a little teaser... Deanna from last season comes back and tries to get him back... OH NO SHE DIDN'T! He better not!!!!!
2. Dental hygiene... I love to floss my teeth. Maybe it's because both my sisters are in the dental field, but I can't stand not flossing my teeth. I've probably missed 3 nights in the last 5 years.
3. I love The Sound of Music! My sister (meredith) and I know the entire movie word for word and every song. We would fight over who was going to be Lizel in "Sixteen going on Seventeen", just a few months ago I forced Chris to watch it with me and he liked it, although he won't admit it.
4. I recently started sneaking vegetable purees into our food... Shhhh don't tell Zach, he loves it and Chris does too! You should try it!
5. I invented a secret sauce at Knowlwoods (my fav. burger joint) And I'll give it too you now: Equal parts of their tarter sauce, ketsup, and honey mustard... TA DIE FOR! Definitely try that with your fries!
6. It is my dream to go to Chicago and view a live taping of the OPRAH show. My hubby hates her, but it would be nice if he surprised me someday... hint, hint! No pressure.

I can't believe I am posting this picture. I was 8 months prego in this picture and feeling absolutely hideous. It was so weird that this was the picture I had to post because I think it is my absolute least favoirte picture of myself. But I definitely don't take myself too seriously; as you can tell from the ugly Christmas sweater I was wearing for an "Ugly Christmas Sweater Party" we went to at Ryan and Beth's in 2007. I found that jewel at a Thrift Store for $5.99 and found out that these sweaters are a hot item on eBay, come Christmas. I intend to make a killing this Christmas!

Winter in California

One reason why Chris and I love living in California is the warm winter days. Two weeks ago my family got to spend the weekend in a beach house in Newport Beach, thanks to my mom and her hook ups. The weather was a perfect 75 degrees. Zach loved eating the sand and riding in the basket of the tandem bike we rented. I loved the sunset and much needed relaxation.

First Birthday Cupcake!

My favorite part about a baby's first birthday is their reaction to getting to eat cake for the first time. Well, make no mistake our son has is momma's sweet tooth. After testing the frosting he started to double fist it into his mouth. No shame... I love it! The photos are in the wrong order, but you get it.



Lastly, a big thanks to all our friends and family who took the time out to come and celebrate with us. And a BIG, BIG, BIG thanks to my wonderful MIL, Linda, who opened up her home at such a short notice because of the rain.

1 YEAR OLD!!!

I cannot believe it... my baby is one!!! Where has this year gone? I have been so blessed to be able to watch this little man grow... Here is a year in review that I used on the back of his party invitation...


Update on Zach...

1. 22 lbs. 11 oz. 31 inches
2. walking, almost running
3. says, "ball"
4. still loves to open all doors/drawers he can
5. loves pb & j sandwiches
6. screams when it is silent-church has become very difficult
7. Two front teeth peeping through

First Steps!

I haven't posted a video in a long time, but this one is worth looking at. My little baby is walking! This was taken a few days ago and today he is ten times better. Oh my goodness this came out of now where!

Christmas P-A-R-T-Y!

A few weeks ago we had a great time at our friend's Sean and Bobbi's Christmas Party. Great food, great company and great games! Have you ever played PictionaryMAN? Well you need to! It was so fun. Stephanie got it for the gift exchange and picked her own gift (I don't blame her). We had so much fun playing; the pictures really don't do it justice, but most of us were crying hysterically. Thanks everyone for a great time!!!

First Haircut!

Zach's hair really has a mind of its own. It has a lot of body to it especially in the front. He has this weird curl that won't do anything I want it to. I was getting tired of trying to grow it out so I trimmed it myself-yikes! It turn out pretty good, but that was a month ago and unfortunately it's back.
